Welcome to our Governors page
The Family Wellbeing Centre Committee is made up of representatives from Parents, Staff, Health and the Community. They have a full range of skills so that they are able to challenge and support the work of the Family Wellbeing Centre as necessary. We are very grateful for the role our Governors fill and how they give their time on a voluntary basis, working very hard on behalf of the Centre.
The Family Wellbeing Centre meet once each term, working closely with Mrs Taylor, Headteacher of Farnborough Road Infant School, Mrs Lineton, Headteacher of Kings Meadow Primary School and Clare Horton, Senior Early Help Worker at First Steps Family Wellbeing Centre.
Governors
Ian Merrison - Chair of Governors
Mrs Jennifer Taylor - Headteacher at Farnborough Road Infant School
A message from Jennifer -
'I have worked at Farnborough Road Infant School for the last 20 years being a Senior Leader the last 13 years. It was a
great privilege to become the Headteacher of this fabulous school last year and I am extremely proud of its outstanding status.
Early Years education is something very dear to my heart as I believe the first years in school shape a child's attitude to
learning for the rest of their lives. I was born, bought up and educated locally and continue to live with my family near to school.
I live with my husband, daughter and dog and enjoy walking, reading and spending time with family and friends.
I am keen to get to know all our parents and joining them in supporting their child on their learning journey.
Please do not hesitate in contacting me with any ideas or queries.'
Mrs Sandie Lineton - Headteacher at Kings Meadow Primary School
Clare Horton - Senior Early Help Worker at First Steps Family Wellbeing Centre
Rachael O'Keeffe Jones - Representative from Farnborough Road Infant School Governing Body
A message from Rachael - 'I have two young daughters and my eldest has just this year joined Reception. I am thrilled to become part of the community. I have been a registered Midwife for 10 years and have worked in a number of different roles, from Specialist Midwife for vulnerable families, to Research Midwife in Obstetrics and Genetics. I am experienced in and passionate about Safeguarding children and women. Outside of work I spend as much time as I can with my children and family and love to be at home, cooking, gardening and listening to music.'.
