Free Childcare for 2 Year Olds

2YOO NURSERY ENTITLEMENT

In Sefton, some 2 year olds will be eligible for 15 hours of Free Early Education and Childcare from September 2013. 


Is my child entitled to a free place?

You can claim a free place for your child if you receive one or more of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Job Seekers' Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) and income of less than £16190.

 

Children are also eligible if they are:
 
  • A Looked After Child
  • Child of Care Leaver (under the age of 25 years)

 

When is my child entitled to a free place?

The school term after the childs 2nd Birthday.

How do I apply?

Speak to a member of staff in your local Family Wellbeing Centre or speak with your Health Visitor.
